Kenwood Young Baker Competition Terms & Conditions

• 1.1 Promoter: The Promotion is conducted by Kenwood Limited, 1 Kenwood Business Park, New Lane, Havant, Hampshire, PO9 2NH, United Kingdom ("we", "us", "our").

• 1.2 Promotion Period: The competition is open between 00.01 on 6th September 2021 and 23.59 pm on 18th October 2021. The winners will be announced on 22nd November 2021. Notification will be made via e-mail.

• 1.3 Eligibility: In order to claim your prize or participation certificate, you must complete and submit the Kenwood Young Baker Competition form. You must be resident in The Republic of Ireland and aged twelve (12) to eighteen (18) years old on the date the competition opens. 
  ("you", "your(s)") are eligible to participate in the Promotion and, by participating in the Promotion, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (which may be amended or varied at any time by us).

• 1.4 Promotion: The overall value of the prizes is €4,500. The prize value includes individual winners' prizes with the remaining balance to be for the schools. The prizes are non-transferable and may not be exchanged for cash or other services. No refunds or discounts are available for elements of the prizes not taken. Prize details are stated below. 

• 1.5 Privacy: Any personal data submitted will be used solely in accordance with current the European Regulation 2016/679 on the protection of personal data (General Data Protection Regulation - hereafter "GDPR"); data protection legislation and the Kenwood Ltd privacy policy. Any information submitted must be personal, previously unpublished and related specifically to the entrant. Any information or material submitted to Kenwood Ltd must be true and not infringe the intellectual property, privacy or any other rights of any third party, and will not contain anything which is libellous, defamatory, obscene, indecent, harassing or threatening. Kenwood Ltd reserves the right, but not the obligation, to screen, filter and/or monitor information provided by and to edit, refuse to distribute or remove such information. As part of this competition, we will be entitled to use your email address for the purposes of administering the Promotion and allowing your participation in the Promotion.

• 1.6 No responsibility is accepted for entries received and proof of emailing will not be accepted as proof of delivery or receipt.

• 1.7 In the event of any dispute regarding these terms, results, prize claims or any other matters relating to a Kenwood Ltd promotion, the decision of Kenwood Ltd shall be final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.
• 1.8 Kenwood Ltd reserves the right in their reasonable discretion: (a) to disqualify any competitor whose entry is contrary to the spirit of these terms, or the intention of the promotion and to declare as void any or all of their claims or entries based on such conduct; (b) to add to or to waive any of these terms or any on reasonable notice; and/or (c) to cancel the promotion or any part of it at any stage in the event of circumstances beyond the reasonable control of Kenwood Ltd.
• 1.9 Kenwood Ltd is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of computer on-line systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software failure of any email or failure of an entry to be received on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet, or at any website, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to an entrant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in relation to the promotion.

2.1 Winning entry: Kenwood kMix Stand Mixer machine model KMX750AC.

• 1st place winners: 2 winners will be selected from each school category: One winner from the Junior category (1st-3rd year) students and one winner from the Seniors category (4th-6th year) students.

• Judging Criteria: The judging of the competition will be based on presentation, creativity, level of difficulty and originality. 

• The 1st place winners will each receive one Kenwood kMix all white stand mixer RRP €999.98 (€499.99 for each machine). In addition to a Kenwood Kids Club Goodies kit. 

• We will notify the winners on the 22nd of November via email on how they can claim their prize.

2.2 Runner Up Prize: a Kenwood Chefette machine model HM680.

• In addition to the 2 competition winners, we will have a 2nd and 3rd place for each school category (1st - 3rd year) and (4th-6th year). The 2nd and 3rd place students will each receive a Runner up prize of a Kenwood Chefette model HM680 RRP €109.99 for each machine (Subject to availability). 

• The 2nd and 3rd place winners will also receive a Kenwood Kids Club Goodies kit. 

• We will notify the winners on the 22nd of November via email on how they can claim their prize.

• The 1st place winners of the competition and their class will receive one cookery course with Shane Smith via Zoom to the value of €250 for each course.

• Shane Smith Cookery Course must be redeemed within the school year. Kenwood will liaise with the home economics teacher on appropriate content of cookery course in advance.

• We will notify the winners via email on how they can claim their prize.

• Each 1st place winners' Home Economics school class will receive a voucher from Kenwood goods to redeem up until the 6th of September 2022. 
  
  A brochure will be provided for the class to select appropriate products up to the prize value based on RRP.
